I noticed they were using some transparent .PNG backgrounds so I decided to check it out in IE6 and behold the carnage. While not really carnage they just ask you to upgrade your browser. If LBP can force their users to upgrade to a better browser then why can’t I? Internet Explorer 6 still holds a big chunk of users who are too inept or too lazy to upgrade and that’s why most web developers still make an effort to build IE6 compliant websites.

Sooner or later we’ll be complaining about still supporting IE7 when IE8 comes out in 2009.

For some reason the Javascript Listener doesn’t recieve any messages when using the new Facebook design. Since Live Messages are technically still in beta I guess we can’t hold Facebook responsible for breaking our test apps. Hopefully nobody put enough faith into Facebook to release a Production App using Live Messages.

Thanks for figuring it out Charles!

A couple nights ago I finished creating a banner for my girlfriend’s blog. It’s definitely frustrating since I haven’t been creative for a while. It’s easy for me to start a design/theme but its always hard for me to complete it. Either the idea is under developed and the piece feels incomplete or I just draw a blank somewhere in between.

In the end the banner was completed and we were both happy with the outcome. In order to sustain the creative juices I’d like to take on more simple designs. So if anyone needs a blog re-design or banner let me know!
