I just got my first Digital SLR last week and already I can say it’s a steal for the price. I bought it for $430 but I’ve seen it as low as $400 shipped. The Canon XS is the entry level model of Canon DSLRs but it has most of the functionality you’d expect from it’s bigger brother the Canon XSi. This is a great introductory camera for anyone moving from a “Point-and-Shoot” to a DSLR.

The first feature I’d like to mention is the Canon 18-50mm EF-S IS II kit lens that comes packaged with the product. You won’t get much zoom out of it but the picture quality is quite good. This can be attributed to its built in Image Stabilizer. Secondly the availability of “Live View” is a great addition which brings live camera feed to the LCD much like a “Point-and-Shoot”. The addition of “Live View” makes the Canon XS a great transition camera, a feature which the last generation of DSLRs has lacked. Some might look down upon the 7-point AutoFocus but believe me its generally enough.

So this X-mas I got this great little Red Knight as a gift. It’s a perfect representation of the in-game character and a very nice item to own for any fan of the game.

Anyway, so the word has been out for a while that Behemoth has patched the bugs in Castle Crashers and at least that part is a fact. The second part of the rumors going around is that Behemoth will be creating at least one new weapon; the chainsaw and supposedly two new playable characters; the king and the wizard. The catch is that these will be Downloadable Content and will most likely require payment.

• Quick Match/Custom Match multiplayer games not working/displaying error messages
• Xbox LIVE games dropping unexpectedly
• Arena Master achievement will now unlock after any mixed arena matches.

• Boomerang exploit is now resolved
• Alien Hominid can now drop the pitchfork!

What surprises me most is that the battle system is constantly changing. Now we can build up echo points to make our special attacks stronger, and the newest member to the group Viola has a bow that you actually aim during battle.

I also reached the second musical interlude/slide-show which was reminiscent of the first one but boasted the popular “Revolution” song in the background. This one felt a little out of place since it kind of interrupted a conversation but it was still educational. I can see how some may not like these interludes but the HD pictures are gorgeous.

Overall I liked what I got but I felt the make was cheaper than it costs. I didn’t expect the little left overs from the push outs to bother me so much and didn’t expect the plastic to be so cheap. I think coating it with a vinyl finish would do the trick.
