Grey’s Anatomy: Gay Bashing
Yes, I like the show. It’s actually pretty darn good. The acting is spot on and the humor and drama are well written. I also like the characters, one of my favorites being Isaiah Washington who plays doctor Burke. He’s the best cardiac surgeon in the nation, he’s the man and he knows it. To find out in real life he’s having problems with the rest of the crew is unfortunate. It would be bad if his character mysteriously died. Gay bashing in this day and age cannot be gone unaccounted for. The world we live in can’t stand for discriminatory acts of hatred. Sure he apologized for it but what’s also semi racist is that he is an African American. Like Kanye West said has some relevance, gay bashing is force fed into African American culture. Now maybe this isn’t as bad as an anti-semitic rant by Mel but it won’t disappear quickly if Isaiah doesn’t start getting along with his crew members. If he leaves the show he’ll be marked with anti-gay on his resume for life.
Hey man Dr. Burke’s character seems to have a hint of homosexuality in him too…
Someone please tell Isaiah Washington to shut up before he loses his job. Please.
