New York Knicks are Wearing a Bullseye Called Madison Square Garden
In the last two games at Madison Square Garden the Knicks have been torched by two of the league’s best athletes. First, Kobe Bryant set a Madison Square Garden record of 61 points. Two nights later Lebron James drops a 52 point triple-double to pull out a win in a close battle against the Knicks. The Knicks still believe they can acquire Lebron in the off-season and Lebron made their mouths water, showing off his ability to be a dynamic player. Kobe Bryant had a more dominant performance, however, part of the fact is that Kobe is surrounded by a better core group of players. Andrew Bynum did not play in the game against the Knicks but Pau Gasol’s quiet 30 point night over the shorter Knicks line-up more than made up for the injured Bynum.
Much can be said about the abilities of both players but there is no doubt that the historic Madison Square Garden brings out the best in them. Whether we see Lebron James in a Knicks jersey next year still hangs in the balance but one thing is for sure, Kobe and Lebron will battle it out once again on February 8th and it will be a sight to see.
