NBA 2K9 Patch fixed my most annoying bug
So the new NBA 2K9 patch that came out this week fixed a bug that in my opinion was the most annoying of all the bugs for 2K8 players. The annoyance I’m talking about is the On-the-fly substitution bug that resets any of your planned substitutions if you bring up the On-the-fly subs menu. This makes it difficult to first assign a substitution and then later sub another player. Since it resets the second time you open the menu you would have to reassign any previous substitutions all over again.
Since this was such an obvious change from last years version I thought this was in fact a feature and not a bug. The problem was fixed in the latest patch so it’s offically a bug. However, I discovered this problem while playing my very first game so I have no idea how this got past the testing phase of the game. Anyway, it’s all fixed now along with a fix that makes shooting free throws more consistent. Prior to the patch it seemed like the first free throw animation was a little slower than the actual release time, and because you’re supposed to release the shot by judging the release point of the animation, it’s really difficult when the animation isn’t in sync.
Even with all the bugs it’s still a great game. I’m not sure what would happen if we went back to patchless games. Would games be more or less littered with bugs? It seems like game developers are just used to putting out games without heavy testing because of the cushion that patching allows.
Awesome, I’m glad they made those fixes. I haven’t played mine for over a week and I miss it dearly.

purposely because scores was 90-90 appenrent in last two secs lebron can score a 3 when i even seen replay with joe johsons had going through the ball,
i played online todai thought it would be fun,faced the knicks,so apperently josh smith went for a dunk at got blocked when the replay shows no body touched the ball,he went for dunk and then it jus flew out his hands.god that games pisses me off,omg online is the worst never works on team up also the glitches are crazy online,assosiation appently i lost when i actually won also arghhh its just little things that are turning into a right pain it kills me when im playing that game,its makes me swear ans stuff when should make me smile.
