Steelers vs Bengals: Hines Ward Breaks Keith River’s Jaw

Man what a punishing hit. It was announced today that Hines Ward will not receive any fines for the hit even though it kind of looked like he was leading with his helmet. Hines Ward has already received two fines this season for similar plays on defenders.

I like seeing offensive players punish defensive players but nobody wants to see someone get seriously hurt. A hit like that could give a player a concussion.

    hmmm. that’s pretty close. i think ward just tends to tuck his head when he braces for a hit…i’m cool with there not being a fine. then again, hines ward is my man, so i’m biased. :p

    That sucks. Kieth River’s season is over!

    It looked like hines was out to hurt someone.

    Hines Ward does that every game though. It just sucks that this guy got his face broken.
