Not much to talk about for the iPhone except Apple admitting that the iPhone firmware is indeed buggy. Apple confirmed that there will be yet another firmware update (2.1) coming out this Friday (09/12/2008). The update is free as always.

The update is supposed to fix bugs, extend battery life, speed up syncing and have less crashes. Quite the laundry list that we’ve been forced to sit through.

We all wanted to hear something about the Push Service for Notifications but I guess that is still too far into the future for Apple. Copy and paste functionality would have also been great to hear. Other rumors including flash integration and picture messaging weren’t mentioned either.

In summary this keynote didn’t address the iPhone users and problems very much. We’ll have to wait and see if there is new functionality in the 2.1 update this Friday.
