Dolphins Snap Losing Streak

It took an overtime game winning 64 yard touchdown pass to get the Miami Dolphins their first win of the season. Give the team some credit for not giving up on themselves even after losing 13 straight games. Miami has made headlines since the beginning of the season with the Trent Green debacle ending in a season ending concussion. Their bright spot Ronnie Brown led the league with combined rushing and receiving yards but tore a ligament in his knee. And finally the hope that Ricky Williams’ return would give them a solid running back ended with a season ending shoulder injury. He only got to play 6 downs before getting stepped on during a game that was being played under one of the worst field conditions anyone has ever seen in the NFL.

Honestly, the Dolphins should have lost this one, giving up huge yards on defense. Matt Stover should have ended the game with his 44 yard field goal in overtime but the crowd and a little luck bailed the Dolphins out. The kick sailed to the left giving the Dolphins the ball. It only took 3 plays for the Dolphins to get the ball into the hands of Greg Camarillo, a no-name from the D-League, to take it to the house. As expected the crowd went nuts. Only the most loyal fans were still in the bleachers after such a poor start to the season, but they probably got to see a really great game.
