Warriors lose the game and their cool
Another disappointment. The Golden State Warriors could not hold off the Jazz who were unstoppable in the final minutes. The Warriors had more than a few chances to take big leads while working with the crowds momentum but the Jazz kept their composure and quieted the crowd again and again. It was the battle of the power-forwards as Boozer and Harrington took shots at each other with Boozer coming out on top with 34 points. Boozer scored almost at will, his jumpers and points off offensive rebounds killed the Warriors. The other killer was the points from the two Jazz guards, Fisher and Deron Williams who combined for 41 points and 18 assists. Fisher came out shooting in the final minutes to seal the Warriors defeat with some huge shots. Baron Davis didn’t seem like himself only scoring 15 points and throwing up some air balls during the game. Jason Richardson who seemed like he was on fire early in the game ended the game with just 7 points. Harrington and Ellis finally stepped up putting up decent support numbers but their stars just didn’t show up. Late in the game when the outcome had already been decided Richardson pummeled Okur while he was driving into the lane and almost sparked a brawl. Richardson was obviously frustrated but this is out of character and a stupid decision if he were to be suspended for their next “win or go home” game. His mother must have been shaking her head this Mother’s Day. Jessica Alba was also in the building however it didn’t seem like she was lady luck this time. The last time she attended a Warriors game they blew out the Mavericks.
The Warriors are now down 3-1 which looks really bad since they haven’t won a game in Utah as of yet. If Don Nelson can’t find a way to stop Boozer I think this Cinderella story will probably come to end on Tuesday.
