Nintendo Announces DSi LL

The DSi LL is the larger brother of the recently launched DSi and is marketed toward an older crowd with it’s larger screens and stylus. Nintendo felt the larger screens would pique the interest of those who like large buttons on their telephones and television remotes. While the large screens make it less compact on the go it appeals to me since I normally spend the bulk of my DS time at home anyway. Maybe I’m getting older as well…

As for colors, the DSi LL will come in red wine, dark brown and white. The Japanese DSi LL will also be preloaded with a brain training type game and likely come with a higher price tag for its larger screens.

Nintendo announced the Japanese launch date will be Nov. 21st. It will most likely be released in Q1 of 2010 in the states as the DSi XL.

that’s pretty crazy. DSi just came out. Good thing I didn’t get a DSi.

They make ‘em smaller, then they make ‘em bigger…

Keep in mind when they made it smaller (DS to DS Lite) the screen size didn’t change, just trimmed some fat.

Nintendo is churning them out like iPods…

interesting. i like the idea of a bigger screen, but i personally mostly use my ds on the go, so this isn’t quite my niche.
